I have to admit that I feel fantastic in this dress. It fits perfect and is just so right for me. Thank you Eric for picking out such great fabric. This is my first completed project using the fabric that Eric brought me back from Spain, let's call it Platinum Seamstress Dress #1. I admit it was challenging to make this dress but well worth it. Also I have a terrible habit of never reading pattern instructions so I don't really know if the instructions for this one are any good or not.

I have never made something that was so similar to the pattern picture. I almost never even really stay on pattern. I do lots of changing and doing different things. But this time I am glad I stuck with the pattern because it turned out beautiful. I thought posing like her would just be funny.

The dress is fully lined with white muslin, has a side zipper and the skirt and sleeves where hand hemmed. If you have any questions about the construction or finishing I would be happy to talk to you about it.

Now I have to figure out what to work on next. I need to get some more clothes made for the Self Stitched September challenge and for life in general really.  Here are some of the contenders for my next project.

The short sleeve blouse
Tunic top.
Knee length shorts. Since in Atlanta  I could wear them until October ;)
And I have to gather my strength and finish that damned green jacket! I finally finished reading Gone With the Wind so I do think given enough time I can finish anything. We will just see if I manage to finish the short sleeve green jacket before it is too cool for short sleeves.

Tomorrow I get to have a day date with my hubby. Marion will be off at school and this will be our last chance to play hooky since he will be teaching "science to big kids" again soon.
